Exercise Referral

Exercise Referral

The Exercise Referral Scheme is a service that the University of Lincoln Sports Centre offers to students and staff across the University, whereby a referral is made via the Wellbeing Centre to the Sports Centre for specific needs, for example:

  • Mental Health (Anxiety, Depression & Stress)
  • Diabetes Type I and Type 2
  • Obesity
  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
  • Hypercholesterolemia
  • Asthma
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Joint replacement
  • Osteoporosis
  • Etc.

Many more long standing health conditions qualify for this service.

The scheme will take you through 12 weeks of supervised exercise, with one of our qualified Fitness Instructors.

It will be tailored to your goals and needs, with the aim of teaching you how to manage your condition and become more active.
